Life knocks us, sometimes it wipes us out. We experience varying levels of distress, fear, pain, trauma. These experiences activate a response in our bodies that can shape our future. We can find ourselves unable to engage in the same way, unwilling to step in. Anxiety and fear become our closest ally. We feel empty and yearn for something more. Yet we are stuck. Patterns repeat and every day can feel like Groundhog day. We wonder if there is another way. Our innate wisdom knows something we have forgotten.
We follow a curated step by step process created by two trained and accredited Therapists to deliver you brand new awareness about yourself. We approach our sessions with a combination of Therapy and Somatic experiencing.
WHAT DOES SOMATIC EXPERIENCING MEAN?
Your body is the vault for all your life experiences. It registers in our body on a cellular level. Remember a time when you felt great stress or anxiety? Do you remember how it felt? Rapid heart rate, Shallow breathing, tightening in areas of the body, maybe even a freeze response?
In a similar situation, the body reacts in the same way. Sometimes we do not remember the trauma or the distress but we are still in reaction to it. Over time we start to gear up or prepare for when we think things might trigger us. So our systems are always primed. This is a draining and fearful way to live.
We weave somatic therapy into ever session. We will guide you to focus on underlying physical sensations, applying mind-body awareness to help you understand how emotions are appearing within the body. Using visualization, breathwork, movement, meditation and resourcing we bring your awareness back to the body and teach you to feel safe and trust in your body sometimes for the first time.

Working closely with Kerry or Ferzana both trained in Integrated Somatic Trauma Therapy you will learn to understand root causes. Get to know your unique patterns and protective functions, ease symptoms and take control of your nervous system and ultimately your life.
No two stories are the same. We are the sum of all our parts. Together we will uncover your limited self-beliefs, patterns, behaviours and why they continue to play out even when you long for a new page to turn. We will look closely at your family system. How you were molded and shaped by the experiences around you.

WHAT DOES A TYPICAL SESSION LOOK LIKE?
In our sessions, we integrate both talk therapy and somatic therapy to provide a holistic approach to your healing journey. During the talk therapy portion, we’ll engage in conversations where you can freely express your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. This dialogue allows us to explore your thoughts, beliefs, and patterns of behavior, helping us gain insight into your challenges and develop strategies for coping and growth.
In addition to talk therapy, we’ll also incorporate somatic therapy techniques. Somatic therapy focuses on the connection between the mind and body, recognizing that our physical sensations and experiences are closely linked to our emotions and overall well-being. Through somatic exercises, we’ll explore how your body holds onto stress, trauma, or other emotions, and we’ll work together to release tension, promote relaxation, and cultivate greater self-awareness.
During our sessions, you may find yourself engaging in mindfulness practices, breathwork exercises, gentle movements, or exploring bodily sensations. These techniques can help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself, enhance your ability to manage stress, and promote healing on both a physical and emotional level.
